- Hi, Mathew Hendry , on 03-Mar-96 05:59:21 you scribbled....
- >I thought all you guys might be interested to know that the runback command
- >in the FastBootV1_0.lha archive is infected with the "Happy New Year 96" link
- >virus. VirusZ will remove it.
-
- Whilst fastboot does what it says it does, I'm not currently using it for
- these reasons:
-
- 1) the diskchange command doesnt seem to work when using runback (even other
- versions of runback..) ..see below
-
- 2) when diskchange works ...it basically makes my system useless due to
- assigns/paths used by workbench...
-
- I suppose I could fastbootgrab before wb loads , but this will slow the
- process down which defeats the object!
-
-
- Am I right in thinking that if diskchange isnt run directly after a "fastboot"
- boot up, then your HD is in mortal danger the next time you write to it?
-
- (I'm assuming this for safety although I have full backups so all that would
- be lost in worst case is 3 hours waiting...)
-
- I might have a go at grabbing earlier in my startup....
